Bishop Martyn Visits Leicester’s Romanian Orthodox Community

Bishop Martyn recently met with Father Stefan and members of Leicester’s Romanian Orthodox community. During the visit, he was shown around the church and spoke with the congregation about the challenges they have faced in migrating to Leicester, as well as their desire to play an active part in the city’s community life and wider ecumenical relationships.

Bishop Martyn and his Social Policy Advisor, Florence Gildea, have launched a blog designed to help Christian leaders participate in public debates about contested questions. The aim behind “Faith in the Public Square” is to bring evidence from the social sciences together with theology to help readers think through areas of our common life which are the subject of heated debate.
